
In the new era, under the strategy of invigorating China through science and education, synergistic innovation in education, technology, and talent has become a core driver of national development. With the accelerated digital transformation of education worldwide, cutting-edge technologies such as AI and big data are profoundly reshaping the landscape of education. This trend places higher demands on cultivating innovative talent and enhancing the efficiency of educational services. Peking University, in collaboration with 35 international universities, established the Digital Intelligence International Development Education Alliance (DI-IDEA) and hosted the Global Digital Intelligence Education Innovation Competition, accumulating valuable experience in exploring educational innovation.
To further advance digital intelligence education and deepen the integration of digital intelligence technologies with education, we are launching the 3rd Global Digital Intelligence Education Innovation Competition in 2026. This initiative aims to continue exploring new paradigms for cultivating innovative talent in the era of digital intelligence.

ⅡCompetition Format
The Competition features three tracks: AI for Science, AI for Teaching and Learning, and AI for Medicine.
The AI for Science track adopts open-ended topics. Participants are encouraged to explore innovative AI agents based on large-scale models such as Xiaomi MiMo, and to design and develop geoinformatics information products and service solutions that deliver practical value and real-world applicability.
The AI for Teaching and Learning track is open to universities and research institutes around the world, with entities, faculty members, and student teams all eligible to participate. This track consists of four competition groups: AI Agent for Education, AI-Enhanced Teaching Innovation, AI for Faculty Development, and AI-Enhanced Learning Innovation. Participants may choose one category.
The AI for Medicine track aims to establish a high-level, open platform for the exchange and showcase of intelligent agents in medical education, promote the digital transformation of medical education, support the cultivation of innovative and practice-oriented medical talent, advance the development of smart medical education systems, and strengthen international exchange and collaboration. The track is divided into the seven competition groups: Agents for Medical Teaching and Learning, Agents for Clinical Skills Training, Agents for Medical Education Administration, Agents for Medical Research Support, Course-Specific Agents, Agents for Medical Science Popularization and Health Services, and other Innovative Agents. Participants may choose one category.
This competition is supported by Chaoxing Group, Xiaomi and other enterprises.
ⅢEligibility for Participation
I AI for Science Track
Full-time undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students enrolled at universities worldwide as of the competition registration deadline are eligible to participate. Each team may consist of no more than 10 members, with a maximum of 5 members from the same university. Each participant may submit only one project in this track.
Ⅱ AI for Teaching
and Learning Track
DI-IDEA member institutions are invited to participate. Universities and research institutes worldwide are also welcome. Applications may be submitted by entities, faculty members, or students. Each team may include up to five members.
(1) Competition Group I (AI Agent for Education): Open to technical teams, teaching teams, joint teams, and individuals.
(2) Competition Group II (AI-Enhanced Teaching Innovation): Applicants must have teaching responsibilities; open to individuals and teaching teams.
(3) Competition Group III (AI for Faculty Development): Open to entities such as faculty development centers, faculty development project teams, and individuals.
(4) Competition Group IV (AI-Enhanced Learning Innovation): Open to undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students; both individual student and joint faculty-student applications are encouraged.
Ⅲ AI for Medicine Track
China Division (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan): Full-time faculty members and medical professionals from higher education institutions offering medical programs, including affiliated hospitals, are eligible to participate either individually or in teams. Current students, including those enrolled in higher vocational schools, junior colleges, undergraduate and graduate programs, may participate as team members.
International Division: Full-time faculty members and current students from overseas medical schools are eligible to participate in accordance with the rules of the China Division. Their submissions will be incorporated into DI-IDEA’s global repository.
Each team may consist of no more than four members and shall include at least one faculty member. Each individual/team may submit only one project.
Participants in the International Division may submit materials in either Chinese or English. For videos and presentation materials, bilingual Chinese-English subtitles or summaries are encouraged to facilitate cross-linguistic review by the judging panel.

ⅤAward and reward Settings
Ⅰ AI for Science
This track offers Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit Awards. The total prize pool comprises RMB 100,000 in cash and Xiaomi MiMo tokens valued at RMB 100,000 (amounts are before tax and in RMB,and the tokens are usage quota for the Xiaomi MiMo large-scale model.) The awards are as follows:
(1) Gold Award: 1-2 winners, each receiving a trophy, a cash prize and tokens;
(2) Silver Award: 1-3 winners, each receiving a cash prize and tokens;
(3) Bronze Award: 3-5 winners, each receiving a cash prize and tokens;
(4) Merit Award: 5-10 winners, each receiving a cash prize and tokens.
Ⅱ AI for Teachingand Learning
This track offers Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit Awards. Each winner will receive only the highest level of award attained and the corresponding prize money(amounts are before tax and in RMB). The awards are as follows:
(1)Gold Awards: Granted across all groups, with no more than four recipients in total. Each winner will receive a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize.
(2)Silver Awards: No more than two recipients per group. Each winner will receive a certificate and a cash prize.
(3)Bronze Awards: No more than eight recipients per group. Each winner will receive a certificate and a cash prize.
(4)Merit Awards: No more than ten recipients per group. Each winner will receive a certificate.
Ⅲ AI for Medicine
This track offers Individual/Team, Outstanding Organization Awards. Each winner will receive only the highest level of award attained and the corresponding prize money. The awards are as follows:
(1) Individual/Team awards: Gold Award candidates are nominated by experts. The Silver, Bronze, and Merit Awards are established for each group. The combined number of Gold and Silver Award winners shall not exceed 15% of the teams advancing to the semi-final round, while Bronze Award winners shall not exceed 35% of the same. Each winner will receive only the highest level of award attained and the corresponding prize money.
I.Gold Awards: Each winner will receive a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize.
II.Silver Awards: Each winner will receive a certificate and a cash prize.
III.Bronze Awards: Each winner will receive a certificate and a cash prize.
IV.Merit Awards: Each winner will receive a certificate.
(2) Outstanding Organization Award: This award will be presented to organizations that nominate teams that later achieve outstanding results.
(3) Recognition of award-winning entries: Following evaluation and selection, the award-winning entries will be featured on the DI-IDEA platform.
